*Jessica specializes in deep tissue, medical & sports massage, and myofascial release. She is also trained in traditional Shiatsu, and also in Thai massage, which is sometimes called 'Thai Yoga' or 'Applied Yoga'. A typical session usually includes a combination of these techniques that is most beneficial to the client’s state of being. She pays close attention to her intuition while working, taking into account the clients requests, while adapting to their bodies' energetic and physical responses throughout the treatment. She likes to teach her clients appropriate stretches and exercises for maintaining specific areas of the body where she finds imbalance, which can help increase the client's range of motion and relieve pain in between massage sessions. Jessica received her professional training in massage therapy from The Swedish Institute in New York City, and in Thai massage at The Americana College in Los Angeles. Jessica also has recently completed continuing education courses in pre- and peri-natal massage. She has authored continuing education courses for vente-education.com in the areas of self-care and injury prevention. She studied dance for the first half of her life, and keeps up her body and movement awareness now with the practice of yoga and aerial acrobatics. She has been practicing the healing arts for a total of eight years.
